Anthony Washington is using his extensive experience and training as an educator and musician to guide students in learning to play, write, analzye, and create instrumental music. Mr. Washington experiences include band and orchestra teaching at the elementary, secondary, and collegiate levels as well as provided private instruction to students on wind, percussion, orchestral instruments and music theory/composition.

 

Mr. Washington's is able to provide engaging instruction for beginning students on all band and orchestral instruments; novice through intermediate level instruction on all brass instruments; and novice through advanced instruction in trumpet; music theory and composition/arranging. Mr. Washington has also worked as a saturday/summer enrichment program teacher for the Center for Gifted Education at William & Mary where he taught Lego Robotics to students in kindergarten through grade three. 

 

Anthony holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, as well as a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance & Music Composition both from Norfolk State University. He is currently a doctoral candidate in Educational Policy, Planning, and Leadership with an emphasis in Gifted Education at The College of William & Mary.
